Bright Lights!

Just a couple of photos from our trip downtown on Saturday..... We went to see the flower show at Macys and walk around outdoors. The weather was AWESOME... no snow. and the sun was out. Neither Madison or I like the bright light in our eyes, so we put on our shades and took it all in stride..... see below..

And... of course, you know Madison has to have a very strong sense of humor. I clearly don't help much when it comes time to change her clothes or get ready for a bath. It seems like a good chance to kid around and play.... Who knew that socks could keep your ears so warm???? Now my ears kind of itch... do they make desinex for ear lobes?

Giggles

This week, I had to spend a couple nights away on business. Needless to say, I wasn't terribly excited about leaving, but was fortunate that I could. You see, Madison, has gotten a lot better at sleeping... In the past week or so, she's made it 7 and 8 hours on different nights... It seems like she's finally eating well enough and is big enough that she can sleep for a longer stretch.

So, when I returned home on Friday night, it was fun to see how she would react to seeing me after a few days. Needless to say, she was all smiles..;-).... Then, while I was talking to her, she giggled! talk about cute! On top of the giggling, she was also trying to make more noise.. not really talking, but definitely working at it.

And.. I almost forgot the bubbles... She's now blowing bubbles.. kind of like underwater... but she's using spit and drool. Doesn't sound cute, but it is.... you have to trust me on that.

On Saturday, she helped us celebrate St. Patrick's day with a visit to The Local, an Irish pub downtown, where we enjoyed a Finnegans and a ruben. Madison and mommy even posed for a photo!.... Later that evening, we headed over to McTavishes for their annual corned beef and cabbage. We all had a great time, and guess what? - Madison slept 8 hours Saturday night.

(I guess the flash surprised her.....?)

Then on Sunday, I got up and took care of her at 6.... when we were done, we both went to see mommy, who was still sleeping. We cuddled, got comfortable and then dozed off. I guess I was snoring, or so mommy says... Neither Madison, nor I was bothered.... so, we'll have to take her word for it.

What a difference a week makes!   Last weekend, the topic was BLIZARD... now, it's slush, and DQ Blizards.   The weather took a wonderful turn for the warmer....  Now, much of the snow has gone.  The roads and sidewalks are perfectly clear...  The deck and patio are almost clear, and there's only about 8 inches of snow left on the ground.   We still have big piles of it from clearing the driveway, but it's mostly melting!   Hurray@#@

Not too many photos this week.   It was a busy week, and we didn't take a lot... On Saturday, we took a walk down to the nearby strip mall (2 miles).... Bundled Madison up in her stroller, and we set off.   Asside from Madison being famished and wanting to eat every 3 blocks, it was a great walk to Caribou Coffee, and then over to the baby thrift store (no -not where they sell discount babies.... but where they have discount stuff for babies).... We ended up getting Madison a little battery powered swing that she seems to LOVE.... great investment of 10 bucks.   Also had her model a couple of different styles...... what do you think?

Then, when we got home, we thought we should try to get one more photo of her in her snow suit... sitting in the back yard before all the snow is gone.... (hopefully it will be gone by next weekend)....

And, since I'm short of new photos for now... here's some we had taken in a dept store a while back..... (before christmas....)

Wow!!! has she grown!

Blizards!!!!!.... (Not the treats from Dairy Queen)

Greetings from the great white north!!!!! It's been sort of arctic the past few days.... Last weekend, was 12 to 16 inches of snow, and then on Thurs-Friday of this week, was another 18 inches of snow. When it was all done, we had over 2 feet of snow. Kind of amazing to see it all come down... FAST. Then, the blowing snow and drifting snow started.... What fun.

Here's the bench in our walkway after last weekend....

And here it is now...

We're all doing fine. A bit tired from all the digging (actually, we had a service plow the driveway...) but there was still a bunch of snow to shovel.

We were having so much fun with all the snow, we wanted to get Madison out for a bit... just a bit.

So, out came her snowman suit, and she went out with Dina to pose for a few pictures....

And not to forget, here are a few more photos from our baptism trip.
